Suprema ID announced today Modular Open Source Identity Platform (MOSIP) compliance for their FBI IAFIS Appendix F certified enrollment scanner, RealScan-G10. MOSIP helps Governments and other user organizations implement a digital, foundational identity system in a cost-effective way. Nations can use MOSIP freely to build their own identity systems.
With MOSIP compliance implementation of RealScan-G10 Enrollment scanner, Suprema ID’s National ID customers can take leverage of out-of-the-box plug-and-play integration with their Automated Biometric Identification Systems (ABIS), which are compliant with MOSIP architecture. This also adds advanced layer of security under trusted environment with the implementation of SBI 1.0 concept to secure identifiable information.
MOSIP has congratulated Suprema ID for participating in self-compliance program and successfully completing the exercise. “We are soon moving to a market place model, where the specific product will be listed with indication on the self-compliance claimed. Self-compliance is also helpful in the faster deployment model that we are working on for countries with smaller populations”
said Head – Biometric Ecosystem, MOSIP.
“We are pleased to offer MOSIP SBI compliant Fingerprint Enrollment Scanner to our customers developing their National ID projects on MOSIP Architecture, which will allow them Privacy & Security while giving them best in class fingerprint capturing capabilities”
, said Bogun Park, CEO at Suprema ID. “RealScan-G10 features fast and accurate image capturing technology, over 20 fps frame rate which ensures highest image quality and lower error rate in capturing sequences, Machine-learning based Live Finger Detection(LFD) Technology, Rugged IP54 Dust & Waterproof Structure with Suprema ID's unique Image Pre-Processing technique results more frame rates in capturing and richer pixel throughput hence produces better image quality”.
MOSIP is a modular and open source identity platform that helps user organizations such as Governments implement a digital, foundational ID in a cost effective way, while embracing the best practices of scalability, security and privacy harnessing the power of open source. Being modular in its architecture, MOSIP provides lot of flexibility in how they implement and configure their foundation ID system. It is a unique, universal, and progressive digital identity system which is also an open source platform that nations can reuse freely and build their own identity systems.
